Volunteers

Even an hour a week can make a lot of difference in a dog’s or cat’s life. They thrive on and live for human attention. Please, if you can donate any time at all, call Judy at 815-288-7387 or email and see what you can do to make a difference in a homeless pet’s life! The look in their eyes or lick of your face will keep you coming back!

Help on Committees

There are many projects that we organize on a yearly basis: raffles, Steps for Strays, BBQ Cook Outs, Fur Ball, and more. We need your help and creative ideas to make our events successful and especially to raise funds for our animals. One person can make a difference! Leave your name and number with the shelter.

Home Care

There are more homeless cats and dogs than what we have room for. If you find a stray or abandoned animal, please place it on our waiting list and continue to care for it until we have room. Do the right thing, don’t neglect or ignore when you can help!

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Granny Rose Animal Shelter to promote the humane care and treatment of all animals in Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside counties and to find homes for abandoned and homeless animals within this area. To this end, Granny Rose Animal Shelter will maintain a facility to provide a warm and loving environment, provide proper care, foster education, and provide spay/neuter facilities for every dog or cat that becomes a resident of our shelter. It is our ultimate goal to be so successful that, someday, this facility will no longer be required.
